The ad campaign is a clear greenwashing attempt to restore the company's image through solidarity with 'real people'. But when you produce the one product that has been singled out as the most harmful to the environment, you need a little help. The agency McGarryBowen, "renowned in the business as the epitome of the courtly, old-school account [men]" created this campaign for Chevron.
